NEVER buy into ANY Marxist/Communist/Socialist philosophies, they are ALL very dangerous and failed political theories, no one prospers except the "leaders", and as the video clearly shows, the population shall eventually arise and chop off the head of the snake that has repeatedly bitten them. What upset and motivated us the most was Ceausescu's "warehousing" of thousands of babies in steel cribs, usually inside cold buildings. The babies and children wallowed in their own filth, they were denied love and affection, they experienced so little adult human contact that most could only make animal type sounds, many died from starvation and exposure - it was so very tragic and inhumane - the odors alone would practically knock you down - the sight made battle hardened men cry. Why were the children taken from their mothers and treated like animals? Because Ceausescu wanted the unmarried mothers working state jobs, not "wasting their time with babies". Every morning, lines for very limited supplies of bread formed before daylight, children knew little to nothing of chocolates or candies, the most basic foods were scarce, there was no hot water in most apartments, there was seldom toilet paper available (even if someone could afford it, it was more like sandpaper - much of it actually contained splinters of wood - OUCH!), women were forced to use ineffective bulk medical cotton (similar to "cotton balls") as sanitary napkins, decent clothing was very expensive and very hard to obtain, yet the endlessly repeated government propaganda line was "you are living in a paradise, everyone who is able to work has a job". People who owned radios sat inside their homes in the evenings with the doors locked and the windows shuttered as they listened to "Radio Free Europe". Being caught listening to the broadcasts of what was happening in the "free world" could result in execution, it was very dangerous. Those broadcasts were very effective, people were becoming more and more aware that Romania was not "a paradise". No longer will Romanians be forced to suffer under Communism, that day is gone.
